Library Takeover is a unique inter-generational training programme. Library staff and young people work together in a team to learn the process of being a creative producer from planning to marketing to budgeting, after which the young people take over their local library for an event which they plan and produce themselves. The sessions are led and facilitated by experienced producers. The programme was developed and delivered in partnership with Half Moon Theatre and Rua Arts. In 2016, for Apples and Snakes I produced a project and published book of poems called Stepney Words III. With Rich Mix and a host of talented artists the project involve workshops in four secondary schools from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets; George Green’s School, Green Spring Academy Shoreditch, Langdon Park School and Morpeth School.
